DPV combines over a decade of regional experience with efficiency-driving technologies to meet the unique ground transportation needs of government agencies, corporations, and hospitals, among other essential institutions in the Northeast region of the United States. DPV’s primary services include: Corporate/Employee Shuttle Bus Services, Managed Transportation Solutions, CDL & non-CDL On-Demand Chauffeurs. We are on the hunt for an exceptional COO to work closely with the CEO as second in command.

General Responsibilities:

  • Forge and maintain outstanding trust relations with shareholders, partners and external authorities, and clients
  • Ensure that the company runs with legality and conformity to established regulations
  • Set strategic goals for each department 
  • Revise and formulate policies and promote their implementation 
  • Act as a public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways to strengthen DPV’s profile
  • Maintain working knowledge of all departments 
  • Develop, implement, and review systems to increase department efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining a high quality of service delivery
  • Assist with the creation and approval of RFPs
  • Analyze operating results of the Company and its principal components on a regular basis 

Operations:

  • Ensures that appropriate management policies systems and procedures are prepared, updated regularly, implemented, and enforced 
  • Compiling the company’s budget and financial reports, and employ strategies to safeguard assets and stock
  • Ensures that billing rates and budgeting worksheets are reviewed and increased on annual basis in every operation 
  • Works with the Operations Team to maintain appropriate control over project process flow
  • Works with the Operations Team to implement and improve an effective Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Program that is protective of the Company’s long- and short-term interests
  • Maintains a strong loss prevention strategy  
  • Works with the CEO, Operations Team and Director of Risk Management to provide review and approval of major project proposals in accordance with company policy
  • Defines the duties and responsibilities of the DPV’s Principals and prescribes the specific limitations of the authority of subordinates regarding policies, contractual commitments, expenditures, and personnel actions 
  • Works with the CEO to ensure that business development activities are consistent with the Company Vision and Strategic Plan
  • Retains direct responsibility for selected business development and client maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years high-level Management experience, preferred
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, master’s degree is preferred 
  • Has good communication and public speaking skills
  • Ability to create, execute and perform yearly budgets and other financial documents 
  • Experience in developing strategies and plans
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Analytic skill to evaluate data and make operational decisions
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English language
  • Working knowledge of the Transportation industry
  • Proficient computer skills including, email, record keeping, CRM, Microsoft Office products
